Nutfree Trail Mix

Ingredients

These ingredients in any ratio (pretty much to your taste):
Goji berries
Date crumbles
Unsalted banana chips
Roasted black beans
Sunflower seeds
Roasted chickpeas
Mixed Dried Berries

Method

1. Mix all the ingredients in an airtight jar. That really is the recipe but …
2. I find that seeds do benefit from some light toasting. So if you have 5 minutes, toast the seeds (or nuts should you decide to add them).
3. Heat up a frying pan on medium-high heat. When the pan is hot, toss in the seeds and toast for 1 – 2 minutes. Stirring all the time.
4. Transfer to plate and cool before using.

Tips

1. Turn it into breakfast by adding oats and milk to the mix!
2. Some like adding salt, flavoured salt, cayenne pepper, truly, it’s up to what you like to eat.
3. Vary any or all of the ingredients. Trail mix is really a matter of personal preference.
